Criteria for Eligibility

Applicants must fulfill each of the following requirements in order to be eligible:


Candidates must be international students, U.S. citizens, or permanent residents.


Candidates must hold a high school diploma and have an outstanding academic record.

Application Procedure


 Admission requests must be submitted online through the university's website. All applicants who fit the criteria for the scholarship will be taken into consideration.

Both undergraduate and graduate transcripts may be submitted in unofficial form; however, if you are admitted, official transcripts will be needed.

100 words or fewer each essay; 200 words maximum.

The GMAC Common Recommendation Form is used by Michigan Ross.

One of the following exams must be submitted by applicants: GMAT, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, PCAT, or DAT. You can upload unofficial score reports or self-report your score on the application.

If accepted, official reports will be needed. Applicants must have obtained a degree from an approved institution that is the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in the United States at the time of application.

You must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Pearson Test of English (PTE), or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam if English is not your first language.

You should take the internet-based test (iBT) for the TOEFL exam. The reporting code for the TOEFL is 1839.

We will accept a PTE or IELTS exam score in place of the TOEFL. Choose "University of Michigan-Ann Arbor" as the recipient to have your scores submitted electronically to Ross.

You are exempt from the English proficiency requirement if you earned an undergraduate degree from an authorized institution where English was the exclusive language of instruction.
